Our central Procurement Team are responsible for all direct and indirect sourcing across Nomad Foods. The team strive to work with the very best suppliers in a way that’s responsible and an exemplar of integrity, while ensuring the very best quality and service from our suppliers to ensure Nomad Foods can be best in class. The team work cross functionally with our local Supply Units, R&D, Finance and Marketing Units to ensure an integrated approach across Nomad Foods that can deliver our ambition for growth.
The Buyer’s main purpose is to source from both European and Global markets for both current products and New Product Development (NPD) for their category to ensure constant supply to our 13 manufacturing sites and 17 MUs. Working in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across all departments and supplies, our Buyers will deliver excellent customer service to their markets and promote and support the NF Procurement strategic plan.
The role of Buyer plant protein will have direct responsiblility for portfolio spend of circa €10-12m within the Green Cuisine brand on meat-free analogues and plant-based products but also an element of Copack, Ingredients and Vegetables buying (Potentially)
- Ensure detailed design, definitions, build and testing for future Plan to Perform processes cover all aspects of Nomad business.
- Lead the design of operational Plan to Perform across the group developing a consistent and standardised way of working for SU
- Maximise standard ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality, challenging the need for bespoke requirements.
- Build broad SME network to support as required across Plants
- Champion new ways of working back into business, including training
- Lead Continuous Improvement program

Ensure Finance Data migration strategy is adhered to, prepare data to migration with level of cleanse, financially reconcile the data between old and new systems.

The focus of this role is to ensure Nomad has the Business Analysis resources required to complete the Design work and deliver to a stretching timeline an IBP Response and Supply system that can be leveraged as part of a wider Planning and Manufacturing Process, and take it through to Go Live supporting user testing, training and adoption efforts.

Nomad Foods has Supply Chain Finance (SCF) facilities to support its Vendors to access earlier payment for their invoices, enabling Nomad Foods to negotiate better payment terms with those Vendors and improving working capital.
The Supply Chain Finance facilities are managed through a platform provided by Demica.
The platform has been in operation for approx. 18 months and Nomad are looking to expand it use significantly and offer to all major Vendors who fit certain criteria.
There are currently approximately 10 Vendors on the system Nomad would like to increase this 2-3-fold over the coming year.
There are 2 banks providing the funding to Vendors on the platform, with the potential to increase as new Vendors come on board.

The role is directly responsible for buying a core category with a portfolio value of circa. €20m to €30m. Working at both a Strategic and Operational level, the role holder will identify and deliver sourcing projects, Value Creation and Category Management to meet the needs of the business. It is essential that the Buyer works closely with the broader Group Procurement Team to leverage NF expertise and scale across the business. The role of Buyer Vegetables operates within an FMCG results orientated business, with the ability to manage complexity across several product categories, countries, manufacturing sites and Stakeholders.
The Group Procurement function aspires to be “Best in Class” and the Buyer role will be expected to support this vision through the implementation of robust, leading edge systems and processes. Working in collaboration with internal Stakeholders and Suppliers the role holder will deliver excellent Customer service to their internal Stakeholders and promote and support the Group Procurement function and strategic plan.
