Nomad Foods was formed in 2015 and with revenues of €2,6bn is the largest frozen food company in Europe. The Management Accountant is responsible for driving the month end closing, reporting and analytics including standard management presentations. The Management Accountant will be responsible for the ownership of analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPI`s and as a key financial liaison, partnering with the various departments across the manufacturing site.

 

The Management Accountant will support the relationship with the factory Finance Business Partners & factory leadership team with month end reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly/quarterly close of management accounts, including the involvement in the preparation of monthly data reporting packages that includes analysis of KPIs and variance analysis and explanations, impact of drivers on budget/forecast, reviewing accruals and journals
  • Build analysis reports across product costing, production variation, COGS statement and provide insights
  • Review data from multiple systems and stakeholders, provide commentary and narrative, and support the Analysts/Associates as they identify trends for key KPIs for actuals
  • Whole responsibility for the balance sheet reconciliation process
  • Review variance analysis to prior periods and own the development of recommendations for leadership and finance business partners (FBP & FP&A)
  • Enhance data governance processes by improving the quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated
  • Ownership of relevant manufacturing site information working closely with onsite FP&A team
  • Facilitate standardisation and sharing of best practice across the Shared Finance team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Support automation and enterprise consolidation of data used in monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports
  • Prepare/Review SOX controls and ensure compliance. Support all audit requests
  • Supervisory responsibilities for one finance associate

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor`s degree
  • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in monthly accounts, analysis, reporting
  • Manufacturing / Supply Chain Experience
  • Experience with planning systems and reporting technology
  • Large ERP experience

Desirable

  • Previous Finance experience within an FMCG business
  • Very strong analytical abilities
  • Strong modelling and solid database skills required
  • SAP
