PURPOSE & IMPACT:
This role is known for being the packaging business partner for a Segment and a Cluster- an enabler to Packaging Innovation, Sustainability and Value creation opportunities. Acting as a technical, consumer and sustainability champion, highlighting opportunities, driving change and ensuring that the programme delivers competitive advantage. The Packaging Development Manager is integrated in generating and delivering the Packaging strategy as well as Segment and Cluster programmes across Packaging for Innovation, Renovation, Value Creation and Sustainability.
The Packaging Development Manager is a line manager of packaging resources and operates with support of the overall Packaging Community of Practice.
The PDM is responsible for the Packaging Go To Market Excellence for a Cluster (incl. User experience, Activations, Printing, Sustainability Reporting , Compliance, CPM/Consumer reviews) engaging with Clusters and with external stakeholders (like authorities and industry associations), to be informed, influence and build brand and business in packaging and sustainability reputation. This requires a strong understanding of the local culture, markets, media and language.
