Overview

Nomad Foods is a leading frozen foods company building a global portfolio of best-in-class food companies and brands within the frozen category and across the broader food sector.  Nomad produces, markets and distributes brands in 14 countries and has the leading market share in Western Europe.  The company's portfolio of leading frozen food brands includes Birdseye, Iglo, Findus, Goodfellas, Aunt Bessie, La Cocinera and Lutosa.

Nomad Foods was set up by Martin Franklin and Noam Gottesman, joint Executive Chairmen, in 2015. They have spent a significant part of their careers building and investing in consumer branded companies, focusing on creating growth, both organically and through acquisition. They have coined an expression ‘owners, not renters’. As owners, the decisions they make are about the long-term future of the company.

In June 2015, Nomad Foods acquired the former Iglo Foods Group Companies (Birds Eye UK, Iglo for European Markets and Findus, Italy) and in November 2015 Nomad Foods completed the acquisition of the Southern European and Nordics businesses of the Findus Group.  In 2018, this was followed by the acquisitions of Goodfella’s pizza and Aunt Bessies. This coming together of key brands created a leading packaged foods company that is seeking to further expand through building a global portfolio of best-in-class food companies and brands within the frozen category and across the broader food sector. The most recent stages of the journey were the acquisitions of Findus Switzerland in January 2021, and the Froneri Adriatic Frozen Food business in October 2021.

The Nomad finance team is also going through a period of transformation to deliver its finance manifesto and implement step change improvements to the operating of the finance function across the business.
