ROLE SUMMARY

To champion the Ireland consumer and drive the needs of the Irish market within the UK&I Cluster Marketing Team.

PURPOSE: Reporting to the UK&I Head of Marketing Operations (with a dotted line to IE Country Manager)  this role is responsible for the delivery of UK&I marketing strategy in Ireland and being the marketing representative on the IE Leadership team.  The role will be the Ireland Marketing  ‘Single Point of Contact’ and responsible for championing the brands’ needs for the IE market and delivering the business KPI’s.

Responsibilities

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

An experienced commercially minded marketeer with a passion for food, our brands and consumers, this individual is accountable for having a ‘making things happen’ mindset and is able to work collaboratively across multiple locations, stakeholders and priorities to support the delivery of our marketing plans in Ireland.

A proven ability to support a wide portfolio, with the resilience and adaptability to deliver in market will be key.

Utilising data and insights whilst using a curious mindset to ask questions. Driving through to successful outcomes and opportunities through collaboration with stakeholders to deliver the Irish execution plan.

Having the empathy and curiosity towards consumers learn to anticipate, solve and stay relevant to their common macro needs and desires, working with the wider team to be collectively learning and testing great ideas.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility for delivery of the UK&I marketing strategy in Ireland including NPD launches and communications campaigns
  • Leading annual brand planning process for Ireland
  • Holistic oversight on NPD pipeline for the market
  • Management of the IE Media Plan (From Annual planning to execution throughout the year)
  • Management of the IE Marketing Budget (€2.1M)
  • Having a clear understanding of the performance of our categories and brands and utilising consumer insights to influence the strategy for growth in Ireland. And reporting on performance in key business cycle meetings
  • Line managing a team of two brand managers and ensuring they have support, training and personal development plans in place
  • Collaborate with Cluster Marketing teams to provide expertise and insight into the Ireland market and consumer and to ensure the market has all the tools it needs to deliver growth
  • Key member of Ireland Cross Functional Leadership Team collaborating with the IE Country Manager and other IE leaders
  • Ensure we successfully engage and inspire our retail partners with our marketing plans and demonstrate how our plans will positively impact their shoppers

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience within a commercial organisation with strong consumer focus
  • Proven track record of achievement in an past faced environment
  • Successfully led product innovation execution, having ideally worked in a category led organisation
  • Able to demonstrate strong people influence skills, communication skills and collaboration to work in cross functional Teams
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Demonstrable experience working within the marketing mix and having ideally worked in a category led / matrix organisation
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional meetings
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders
