Overview

Nomad Foods was formed in 2015 and with revenues of €2.6bn is the largest frozen food company in Europe. We are proposing that our new Shared Finance Centre will house both our Financial Accounting teams and our Financial Planning and Analysis Centre of Expertise.

Our Cluster Management Accountant are responsible for closing out the Month End for the Cluster Markets (MU & SU), reporting and analytics for our business units and central functions, including standard management reporting. The Cluster Management Accountant will be responsible for the ownership of analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs and as a key financial liaison, partnering with the various departments across the business unit.

 

The Cluster Mgt Accountant will supervise the work of SU accountants, analysts/associates and will regularly work and liaise with the Market Finance business partners & senior management, alongside the Snr Finance controller of the Cluster.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly close of management accounts (P&L and BS), including the involvement in the preparation of monthly data reporting packages that includes analysis of KPIs, variance analysis and explanations, reviewing accruals and journals as required
  • Reviewing data from multiple systems and stakeholders, providing commentary and narrative identify trends for KPIs during Month End
  • Reviewing variance analysis and owning the developing of recommendations for leadership and finance business partners (FBP)
  • Preparation of quarterly performance analytics and reports
  • Presentation of results to Team Lead/Business alongside the Snr Controller
  • Enhance data governance processes by improving the quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated
  • Facilitate standardisation and sharing of best practice across the Shared Finance team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Support automation and enterprise consolidation of data used in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
  • Prepare / Review SOX controls and ensure compliance. Support all audit requests
  • Line management responsibilities and provide ongoing career development support
  • Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate direct reports
  • Set and facilitate the achievement of individual and department objectives

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in reporting and forecasting
  • Experience with ERP systems and reporting technology
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and developing data visualisations
  • SAP
  • Positive attitude, pro-active, growth mindset, work to solve problems
  • Attention to detail
  • Experienced team manager with excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to constructively challenges assumptions and thinking
  • Impactful report writing and presentation skills

Desirable

  • Previous Finance experience within an FMCG business
  • Very strong analytical skills
