Overview

PURPOSE & IMPACT: The Ariba Tender Analyst is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of the smaller, less complex e-tenders for both direct and indirect procurement of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in driving procurement excellence, maintaining compliance with organisational policies, and delivering value to internal stakeholders through efficient and effective procurement operations. 

 

This role requires an individual with strong customer focus, commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure efficient and compliant sourcing processes. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive value through effective tender management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities

E-TENDERS

  • Manage end-to-end tender processes within the Ariba system, including tender creation, supplier invitation, bid evaluation, and contract award
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, finance, legal, and operations, to define tender requirements and identify the most suitable suppliers
  • Ensure all tenders meet compliance standards and align with company objectives, ensuring fair and transparent procurement practices
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are upheld, providing timely and accurate support to internal teams and stakeholders

ANALYSIS, EVALUATION & REPORTING

  • Conduct supplier evaluations and participate in supplier performance reviews, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
  • Analyse tender and supplier performance data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Generate reports on tender activities, supplier performance, and compliance for senior management

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs and objectives
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective service
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal customers regarding tender-related inquiries

COMPLIANCE & BEST PRACTICE

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus, providing timely support and ensuring stakeholders’ needs are met with a high standard of service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Some experience in procurement, tender management, or a similar role, preferably within a food manufacturing or related industry
  • Proficiency in Ariba or similar procurement platforms
  • Strong commercial acumen, with some experience in negotiating contracts and managing costs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
