Overview

This role will be a key part of the S4H implementation programme, a unique one-time opportunity designed to enable Nomad Foods to deliver, and possibly exceed, its financial goals through the strategy of ‘Simplify, Standardise, Automate & Transform’.

 

This is a business-led, technology enabled transformation to be delivered over a multi-year period, shifting from the current SAP ECC platform to the new S4 Hana environment, leveraging SAP’s ‘Fit-to-Standard’ (FTS) process design.

 

The programme is being delivered via a collection of Functional and Cross-Functional Workstreams, ensuring all processes, systems, data and ways of working are effectively and efficiently connected in line with the FTS design.

 

The Finance S4H Project Manager role sits as part of the Finance Functional Workstream which comprises of the key Financial process areas FP&A, RTR, Treasury, Group Reporting and OTC.  The Finance Function Workstream is led and coordinated by the Finance GPO Lead.

 

Key responsibilities include the project management the Finance Workstream to ensure key deadlines and outcomes are delivered to support the overall delivery of the Tier 1 S4H implementation project. Build, manage and deliver a comprehensive project plan with clear milestones and resource plan. Track delivery of Finance implementation plan, managing risks and hold team members accountable of delivering agreed outputs. Ensure project documentation is full and compliant with Nomad requirements.  

Responsibilities

Working in conjunction with the Finance GPO Lead to deliver the following:

  • Project Manage the Finance workstream as part of the overall S4H project through to delivery.
  • Build out, manage, and deliver against a comprehensive project plan, with associated resource plan
  • Provide support and challenge to Project Leaders, Sponsor and other stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track
  • Manage the project team’s day-to-day delivery against the plan to ensure projects remain on track and issues are managed.  Hold team members to account for their delivery; manage resource requirements.
  • Agree and deliver against project objectives as per the agreed project charter (scope and deliverables, project plan, business case)
  • Manage and track progress and exceptions against key milestones, issues & dependencies
  • With guidance from project leaders, deal with exceptions to progress.
  • Drive success by deploying risk management to ensure risks outside tolerance are effectively mitigated.  Report risk progress.
  • Participate in project Governance activity (approval/rejection, key decisions).  Engage with Nomad governance processes for project delivery, including systems and tools and proper project documentation. 
  • Provide ongoing status reporting for projects, ensuring a consistently high standard of reporting, on time, in full, highlighting exceptions for Management attention.
  • Ensure consistent application of Governance and Project Management standards, tools and methodologies to deliver the required results, creating ‘best practice’ operating standards for project management, risk management and reporting.
  • Apply Change Management principles to ensure engagement is consistently high. Manage the extended Stakeholder community with regular project comms (work with Project Leader and Change Lead as appropriate)
