Overview

This role will be part of the Phoenix Transformation programme, a unique one-time transformation opportunity designed to enable Nomad Foods to optimise business goals through the strategy of ‘Simplify, Standardise, Automate & Transform.’ The Phoenix programme is business lead, multi-year (2024-2027) horizon programme, sponsored by the group CFO and the implementation of SAP S4HANA is the enabler for Nomad to realise their business vision and goals.

 

The Phoenix transformation spans across the business, made up of a portfolio of workstreams, system partners, programme office teams and governance groups, working together to successfully deliver transformation outcomes. The Phoenix Finance workstream comprises FP&A, R2R, OTC and Treasury. The Phoenix Finance workstream team is led by the Finance global process owner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure detailed design, definitions, build and testing for future FP&A processes cover all aspects of Nomad business.
  • Lead the design of operational FP&A across the group developing a consistent and standardised way of working.
  • Maximise standard ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality, challenging the need for bespoke requirements.
  • Build broad SME network to support as required
  • Champion new ways of working back into business, including training
  • Lead Continuous Improvement program
  • Supporting the Finance GPO to deliver end to end process design for SAC and S/4 Hana (standard out of the box solutions)
  • Act as the design lead co-ordinating the alignment of operation FP&A
  • Participate in design workshops to assess out of the box options, against Nomad requirements and determine appropriate solutions for the Nomad Way of working, as a global template
  • Challenge the need for bespoke requirements compared to standard functions available
  • Assess solution options and make decisions and recommendations as to the future design
  • Provide links to other business stakeholders and engaged further SMEs from business to ensure all areas are adequately represented for a global template
  • Work with the change management team to understand business impact and implications
  • Work with other Nomad Team members and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end processes are considered and that an integrated approach and solution are achieved
  • Provide detailed examples and data in support of requirements and design decisions
  • Represent other market requirements and ensure a “global template” is derived that adequately represents the broader Nomad requirements
  • Establish and adhere to the project operating principles, e.g. simplification, standardisation, automation and transform Nomad
  • Thorough understanding of existing Nomad policies and procedures, industry specific compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Provide detailed domain expertise input to implementation partner, with respect to legacy systems and integration required for design configuration and build
  • Input to project plans, engage in progress monitoring and the production of status reports, RAID log updates and key project documentation and audit trail
  • Provide input to definition of user cases, test cases, test data and assess output from test phases
  • Participate in user acceptance testing
  • Provide input to data definition and data migration, data identification and data validation
  • Provide input in to training scope and strategy
  • Provide input to cutover planning and transitional state management
  • Provide input in to process splitting and organisation design
  • Support documenting future processes and standard operating procedures and policies
  • Transition into super users to embed and stabilise Go-Live
  • Accountable for 1st line of document creation or 1st approval sign off for documents
  • Represent all geographical regions to ensure global template fit for purpose across markets by reaching out and engaging ad-hoc resources as needed
