This role is known for supporting NF’s SU Quality & manufacturing leadership teams, across a range of frozen food / ice cream categories, deploying standardisation of SU Quality best practice and driving the SU Product Safety / Quality agend, with the HO SU Quality.


Product Safety & Quality improvement programs

  • Drive a prioritised action plan for alignment of ways of working for NF SU Quality Procedures / codes of practice.
  • Provide a risk based overview across all SU’s to drive best practices & standardisation program.
  • Actively support the implementation of supply chain footprint projects.


SU Quality Agenda Leadership

  • Leadership; building strong relationships with SU Leadership teams, providing SU Quality support to each SU Ops Team.
  • Influencing skills; with SU Quality & Leadership teams, to support the SU sites & deliver QA performance targets for agreed Quality KPI’s & GFSI audit/certification food safety standards.
  • Collaboration; with Procurement/Supplier Assurance/RDQ teams (e.g. specs) to progress suppliers issues with NF’s suppliers.


SU Quality Performance

  • Using Quality KPI’s & Process Compliance, provide status assessment & on-going tracking / reporting of SU Quality performance, identifying risk based gaps in the action plans.
  • Ensuring the SU Quality agenda, supporting the HO SU Quality / HO Ops Quality, is aligned to the wider business Quality direction.
  • Give strategic input & support, with the HO SU Quality, for the achievement of SU’s with responsibly manufactured business objectives, meeting international food industry standards.


Product Incident Management

  • Actively reduce risk of conflict of interests, drive a risk based (consumer & brand) assessment with Product Incident management & support with NF Product Incident training for SU Quality teams.


Technical Support

  • Provide technical support for the Sourcing Unit’s (SU’s) Quality Teams to ensure the product safety, legality, sustainability and quality of Nomad Foods (NF’s) products.
  • Have a detailed understanding of SU Quality ways of working, through site visits and connections with the SU Quality teams. Map SU Quality processes against NF’s ways of working (e.g. CoP) & support SU Quality teams development initiatives and delivery of training plans.


SU’s Food Safety Culture

  • Promote a Product Safety culture within the SC business & actively support NF’s Group Quality program.
  • Take a proactive approach in driving Quality performance & agenda, plus being a change agent to step-change the ways-of-working in SU Quality teams.



  • FMCG SU Quality experience.
  • HACCP (level 3 or 4).
  • Food Microbiology.
  • Food Technology.
  • GFSI audit / certifications, particularly BRC & IFS.
  • Good understanding of factory Quality & matrix organisation, processes and ways of working.
  • Demonstrate People centric mentality & collaborative behaviour.
  • Having a pragmatic approach to problem solving, root cause analysis and reaching risk based solutions.
