Overview

Nomad Foods has grown significantly over the past few years and is in the process of expanding its Project Accounting function to meet the needs of the growing business.

 

The Nomad finance team is also going through a period of transformation to deliver its finance manifesto and implement step change improvements to the operating of the finance function across the business.

 

Working within the Corporate Finance team, this is a dynamic role leading the reporting, co-ordination, challenge and control of the total transformation project portfolio finances. Significant cost analysis and modelling will also be required. Requirement exists to also develop metrics and KPI’s for effective reporting. In addition, role involves preparation of key materials for Exec and Board, supplemented by analytical support for projects and wider business.

 

This is a high-profile role partnering project teams, finance counterparts across the business and Senior Management to ensure an efficient, reliable project cost management. It therefore represents an excellent opportunity for a strong individual to make an impact and build their profile within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead co-ordination of the financial tracking, planning and forecasting processes within the relevant projects from a one-off (Capex, Opex and ROTI/non-recurring) and on-going basis (Benefits and Running costs).
  • Provide effective finance business partnering support to the project teams on both an on-going and on-demand basis to drive continuous interlock between various projects/functions/teams.
  • Deliver analysis and detailed commentary to report against variances up to Exec level - highlighting key issues / risks / topics and options / recommendations for discussion.
  • Responsible for scrutiny of pipeline project business cases and cost control of live projects while maintaining correct governance, leveraging off knowledge and experience of project lifecycles.
  • Significant modelling and analysis will be required, so ability to create, setup, implement and manage new processes, models, metrics, dashboards and KPI’s.
  • Mindset to deliver simplification, standardisation and automation of reporting & processes.

Qualifications

  • A graduate, qualified accountant.
  • Able to work under time pressure and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and a wider interest in systems.
  • Knowledge of commercial, financial and operational reporting.
  • Regular senior stakeholder exposure
