Overview

Sets the vision and strategic direction for the Record to Report process and executes the strategy

Drives the execution of standardisation, automation, process excellence and continuous improvements

Sets targets and measures for process performance and ensures process performance meets critical business requirements

Drives leading practice and a culture of continuous improvement

Optimises the shared services organisation

Reviews and provides inputs to corporate policy and procedures

Accountable for the effectiveness of Record to Report end to end processes and for achieving desired KPIs and related business outcomes

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides input to define the key design principles for the Record to Report process model
  • Develop to Expert Level knowledge of the Record to Report process– becomes the “go to” person within Nomad Foods
  • Overall accountability for the design of Record to Report processes and the supporting policies to ensure that these are compliant with guidelines and other regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for metric development, data architecture, delivery model definition and technology definition
  • Ensures optimal use and adaptation of ERP / enabling technologies, owning the Technology Roadmap in partnership with IT
  • Ensures adherence to the business process design principles as set out in the Transformation programme and the minimisation of local variations/workarounds whilst ensuring local compliance requirements are not compromised
  • Embeds internal / external leading practices to standardise the business process design in line with the key principles of the Finance Transformation programme
  • Prioritises and reviews process improvement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sub processes within an end to end business process and presents any major changes (eg. ERP customisation/ exceptional funding) to the Design Authority for approval
  • Liaises with other functions to identify any potential opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the end to end business process
  • Work with Internal Audit to ensure appropriate Controls are defined, designed and documented around the To Be process, ensure they meet Sarbanes-Oxley standards, and that these controls are also Standardised, Simplified and Automated as far as possible
  • Externally focussed, exploit new external best practice process development opportunities into Nomad Foods
  • Co-ordinates and manages local SMEs during Project/Change stages: Testing, training and knowledge transfer, implementation/cutover
  • Works closely with data Team to ensure processes and their master data requirements are integrated, ensuring that data changes support all process requirements of shared data

 

 

Qualifications

Essential

  • Process experience; functional expert with 5 years of operational delivery within the process
  • Process mapping experience (documenting processes and integration/alignment in a project situation)
  • Technical skills in support of their process; user of toolsets
  • Understanding and experience of Record to Report process

Desirable

  • Previous experience of delivery of Transformation or significant process change
  • FMCG experience
  • Previous Global/Business Process Owner experience
  • Project Management
  • Performance Management
  • Change Management
