Overview

The role holder must have the ability to understand and operate potentially complex machinery, whilst ensuring safety. Ensuring optimum line running with control over product weight and give away; and will also manage downtime issues effectively and timely with the engineering team. All company policies and procedures relating to the area must be adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Machine / Line Operation (or equivalent for role)
  • Quality monitoring & conformance (including documented checks)
  • Line leadership – teamwork throughout process to drive performance
  • Line set-up, dismantle & Technical adjustment (or equivalent for role)
  • Non-specialist hygiene activity
  • Clean as you go ownership
  • Basic asset care – mix of visual and technical inspection
  • Development of Grade 1 & 1A Operatives
  • Cover Grade 1 & Grade 1A Tasks when applicable to ensure no idle labour
  • Other reasonable requests (i.e. re-work & other non-production related activities)

To comply with Safety, Environment and Health regulations to ensure the safety of self and others.

 

To ensure that all food manufactured complies with both Aunt Bessie’s and Customer specification to ensure legal compliance, food safety and product quality are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Basic HSE Certificate
  • Proven experience of Team Leadership
  • Previous experience of operating, sanitising and maintaining food manufacturing equipment
  • Good communicator (verbal & written) with literacy and numerical skills
  • IT literate and previous team coaching experience
  • Practical individual who uses their initiative at all times
  • Good keen eye for detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical skills like movement, coordination, dexterity and grace
  • Develop positive relationships with Managers and peers
  • Energetic, enthusiastic with a belief in team involvement
