The purpose of this role:

Drive the growth of the NOMAD business delivering  superior consumer, shopper, category and market insight


Business Partnering NOMAD commercial teams and the planners in the key agencies (Nielsen BASES, Zenith and creative agencies)


Be the consumer champion for the NOMAD businesses and for the must win battles (MWBs) of Veg and Meals


Owning insights agenda on Superiority, Consumer Connections, Innovation tracking (incl. CMOR presentation) and Needs & Occasion (U&A)


  • Lead the insights innovation agenda for Nomad: defining best practice and research approaches, including traditional research, neuroscience, machine learning and big data
  • Business Partnering the Veg & Meals Category Director and team to provide strategic directions and recommendation on how to grow /improve MWBs using consumer, shopper and market information
  • Lead the U&A refresh in IT,UK, DE to support the plans and forecast and growth levers in the life post covid
  • Deliver the consumer connections program, to bring our consumer closer to the business and the exec
  • Deliver insight to support the development of comms and in the space of health and sustainability and EIFC
  • Define, Develop and Execute the insight learning plan for Veg / Meals Must Win Battles (as above)
  • To effectively manage budget for Veg and Meals MWBs including resources to deliver the best ROI and prioritize the activities that will drive a change in behaviour
  • To support the development and validation of Innovation (across the mix) of MWBs and their associated platforms, bringing the consumer at the heart of the decision making and providing commercially viable insights
  • To report market performance and provide business recommendations for the Veg/ GC/ Meals MWBs
  • To utilise a broad range of market research tools (e.g. market insight, consumer research, consumer planning) in the identification and application of business solutions
  • To ensure best in class activation of MWB initiatives in markets via effective monitoring and management of KPIs
  • Owning the innovation tracking and superiority program for Nomad

Team & Organisation

  • Participate in a co-pilot work stream (insight best practice) to develop & deploy and ensure consistent ways of working
  • Contribute to the building of the capability of the group commercial team (sales, marketing & finance) to use and apply consumer occasion / needs, retail scanning and household purchase panel data to define opportunities and assess & diagnose the business performance.

  • 3+ years in Insights with focus on ad hoc research
  • Ownership of a brand/category
  • Strong commercial awareness

  • High level of technical skill in market research in ad hoc, quantitative, and qualitative methods.
