    Accountable for the planning and delivery of a growth plan for specific categories within the Birds Eye portfolio.

     

    Utilising category & consumer insight to influence the customer (Asda) and delight the shopper at points of purchase to achieve key business targets.

     

    Day to day management of wider business functions (Category, Marketing, Finance & Supply) to ensure the team are all working towards one goal.

    Managing;

    • Branded and Own Label Pizza
    • Vegetarian
    • Bakery

     

    Responsibilities

    Generate consumer specific business plans through:

    • Development & management of joint business plans
    • Use of bespoke category & shopper insight
    • Full understanding of business performance and key performance drivers
    • Development of profit-based account plans and budgets including identifying the customer’s key volume and profit drivers
    • Development of customer specific promotional calendars in line with the Corporate Calendar
    • Monitoring portfolio effectiveness via the Company tool kit / reporting system and feed learnings into the category, customer marketing & customer finance teams
    • Manage customer product mix and align with strategic brand and category guidelines
    • Update sales and gross profit forecasts
    • Delivering profitable growth for the account over a sustained period
    • Driving visibility and availability of Birds Eye SKUs within the customer
    • Selling & negotiation of new listings
    • Implementing new product launches at customer level
    • Planning and coordinating price increases within the customer

    Qualifications

    Essentials

    • Graduate calibre
    • 3+ years’ experience of account management
    • Sales Skills – has a structured selling process and can conduct portfolio negotiations
    • A category & customer first mind-set
    • Communication – Is influential and builds effective cross functional links both internally & externally
    • P&L Analysis and course correction – can interpret data & use to a commercial advantage. Is able to scenario plan against internal budgets and understands key cost drivers. Will see reality and take the appropriate decision / action decisively
    • Teamwork – Can coach a team and develop individuals

    Desirables

    • Some category management or trade marketing experience desired
    • Grocery experience
