  • Overview

    Working within the R&D team supporting the development, through to launch to market, of great tasting products for Nomad Foods extensive European portfolio.  The R&D team is Group level, therefore this role will support all countries in which Nomad Foods operates.

    The role will report into the Technology Manager, who in turn reports into Group Head of R&D Fish & Chicken. The Group Head reports into the R&D Director and sits on the R&D Leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare bench samples to an agreed recipe and design
    • Support with a range of factory trial activities such as organising trial ingredients through to collecting trial data
    • Perform product cook ups and document accurate notes, records and results
    • Accurate interpretation of a variety of data sets such as factory trial results and consumer data & verbatim
    • Use specifications
    • Calculate nutrition profiles

    Qualifications

    Essential application requirements:

    • Currently studying towards a BSc science degree course (or equivalent) that is related to or applicable to the food industry
    • Have excellent verbal and written communication and basic IT skills
    • Close attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Can make independent decisions and work autonomously whilst also being comfortable as part of a team
    • Feel confident to constructively challenge your seniors

    You must also confirm you have agreement from your university to undertake a 1 year student placement.  The salary for this placement is £17,000
