  • Overview

    The Nomad Group is going through an exciting period of change. There is a clear strategy in place for further growth. The Group has plans to continue to grow organically, whilst pursuing strategic acquisitions to build a best-in-class food company. To that end we require an Internal Auditor to be involved in the development and performance of our agreed internal audit plan.


    • Contribute to the audit planning process
    • Responsible for conducting and/or leading certain audits assuring that business systems, policies, processes and procedures are being properly implemented and take appropriate action or escalation where it is found that compliance is being breached. Participate in other audits as member of wider team.
    • Build and develop long lasting relationships with stakeholders across the business
    • Assist in other ad hoc projects as and when required


    • Delivery audits included in the annual internal audit plan to a high standard
    • Delivery of other project work to a similarly high standard


    Qualifications & Previous Experience



    • Graduate
    • Accountancy qualification


    • Experience of the following would be an advantage:
    • FMCG/ foods

    Knowledge & Skills



    • Have an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
    • Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
    • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner
    • Has good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others


    • Group includes Spain, France, Italy, Germany – knowledge of language(s) an advantage
    • Experience of internal audit work (whether in or out of practice)


    • Be ambitious and capable of developing further within the department and ultimately the organisation.
    • Not established or set in their ways but flexible to develop and learn
    • Be a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function
    • Have an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work
