The R&D Data Management Team operates as ‘centre of expertise’ provider to the business in providing Specification, Data and Information management systems for use by the business to control the quality and safety of ingredients, packaging, products and processes. To provide product information for use by the business, customers, consumers and regulatory, NGO and compliance organisations. It also acts as a central ‘one-stop shop’ for technical queries from all interfaces across the business and from suppliers
The Data Manager is a significant role in the organisation which requires experience of products, ingredients and packaging and expert knowledge of Nomad specification & data handling systems and processes. The Data Manager is able to collaborate in a professional manner with Product and Packaging Developers, Procurement, QA and other business functions and external suppliers and organisations. The role requires ability to ‘self-start’ and work independently with minimum supervision. The role requires the ability to review ingredient and packaging specifications, to constructively challenge supplier comments to specifications, when there is a difference between what they are saying and Nomad Foods Europe requirements, to reach agreement.
Applicants will be degree educated or equivalent (preferably in a science-related or food /nutrition related degree) and will have at least 2+ years’ experience within the food/drink industry in a Technical/ Product Development role, including experience of managing data and writing specifications.
Knowledge and skills in the following is also required:
European language skills would also be highly desirable.
