  • Overview

    The key responsibility of the role is to support the delivery of timely and accurate financial analysis, insight, control and reporting of Supply Chain performance and forecasts.  Ownership of the end-to-end Capex process for NFE and to support the Supply Chain FP&A Manager and the Supply Chain Senior Finance Analyst in other reporting and analysis as required.

    Responsibilities

    Monthly Reporting / Forecasts

    • Consolidation of factory results and preparation of weekly and monthly reports
    • Database owner / administrator for BPC reporting system
    • Preparation for and attendance of the monthly results calls, challenging and understanding of key drivers to performance
    • Analysis of factory conversion cost per tonne performance and analysis of drivers of variances to target
    • Consolidation and understanding of monthly Factory latest view forecast
    • Consolidation, reporting and analysis of the project saving trackers (cost reduction projects)
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly Supply Chain presentation deck
    • Ensuring that monthly Supply Chain Finance SoX controls are performance in line with RACM

     

    Capital Expenditure

    • Ownership of the end-to-end capex process within NFE
    • Lead bi-monthly capex reviews with Chief Supply Officer and Supply Chain Finance Director 
    • Review, challenge and understand site Capex proposals and overall spend forecasts
    • Consolidation of monthly capital expenditure and reconciliation to Financial accounts highlighting any variances to plan
    • Ownership of register of authorised proposals

    Budget

    • Assist in all aspects of the Supply Chain annual plan process as required, e.g. preparation and analysis of volume/transfer price files, factory budget booklets.
    • Challenge, analyse and understand movements of Transfer Prices
    • Assist in total company COGs reconciliations

    Supply Chain projects budget control

    • On a monthly basis consolidate and analyse spend vs budget for multiple Supply Chain projects, reporting and explaining variances to plan
    • Prepare monthly variance report to be issued to Chief Supply Officer and Supply Chain Finance Director
    • Identify and control all entries into project budgets challenging and highlighting any unusual postings
    • This element of the role will be reporting to the Supply Chain Finance Transformation Projects Manager

    Other

    • Preparation and control of the NFE Insurance budget business partnering with the NFE Head of Insurance
    • Business partnering all NFE factory finance teams
    • Development and improvement of Factory reporting
    • Ad hoc analytical work in support of supply chain initiatives (e.g. benchmarking, scenario analysis, Strat plan, complexity management)
    • Involvement in projects as required

    Qualifications

    Qualifications and Experience

     

    Essential

    • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or towards the end of qualification
    • University Degree
    • 1-2 years in a finance role

    Desirable

    • Previous experience of manufacturing / supply chain
    • Experience of working in an FMCG organisation
    • Experience with working across cross functional teams in a matrix style organisation
